Jeff Gordon

Director of Technology

Jeff Gordon's history with Carolina Waterfowl Rescue stretches back to 2005, and he's done just about every job here on his way up. He started out working hands-on with the animals — as a farm hand doing the rigorous daily work of animal care, and as a shift lead helping run the floor — before moving into the technology side of the rescue.

As CWR grew, so did its need for real systems. Jeff served as Information Systems Manager, managing the databases the rescue runs on and leading its migration to Office 365, and he now serves as Director of Technology. Along the way he built deep expertise in data systems, software development, and IT strategy, with more than a decade of technology leadership experience. He studied computer science at Central Piedmont Community College and holds a Microsoft Office Specialist certification.

A self-driven problem solver, Jeff enjoys understanding how the world works and making it work better. Off the clock, he's an avid scuba diver, a competitive gamer, and a wilderness enthusiast — a fitting mix for someone who's spent twenty years helping wildlife.
